This Quiet Land

This Quiet Land is a photography project that documents 2 years living in the rural, agricultural landscape of the border region of North Wales and Shropshire.

Moving here in November 2024 was motivated by a pursuit for solitude, calm, and fresh start. I started documenting my walks and the things I saw as I got to know a new area that, at the time, was completely unfamiliar to me. Over time, I noticed that the themes of solitude, quiet and perhaps isolation were also present in the images I was making.
