Borderlands.
This photography project explores the agricultural landscape of the border regions of Shropshire, Cheshire & Wrexham (the area where I live).
The inception of this project came about as a way to explore and get to know the area I moved to back in November 2024. It was an exercise in noticing the features of the landscape and, photographically, I noticed myself being drawn to scenes and subjects that spoke to the agricultural history of this part of the country.
Having spent many years on my grandparent’s farm a child, I’ve since discovered through working on this project, a natural affinity for these sorts of places - I feel very at home in the countryside and photographing farmland, old machinery, old barns, fills me with a real feeling of nostalgia and a connection to my roots.
