Borderlands

‘Borderlands’ is a photography project that documents a 2 year period living in the rural, agricultural landscape of the border region of North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire.

Moving here in the winter of 2024 was motivated by a pursuit for solitude, calm, and fresh start. I started documenting my walks and the things I saw as I got to know a new area that, at the time, was completely unfamiliar to me. Over time, I noticed that the themes of solitude, quiet and perhaps isolation were also present in the images I was making.
